FIREHAWK Ram Air HOOD will it fit my 2001 FireBird?

Will a real slp FIREHAWK Ram Air HOOD fit my 2001 firebird? Cause i have the chance to get a real firehawk hood!

yup, but you have to modify the front fascia a little bit in the middle where the nostrils are... and you have to modify your hood latch, not to bad though...

yes, the chassis is the same as the formula, in this respect.

it will work, but as said, you need to modify the front bumper cover, and the latch.

You won't be able to get an actual Firehawk hood unless you provide SLP with a broken one and a VIN for a Firehawk. Suncoast has a Raptor hood which is similar to it, or you can get the SLP Ram Air HO hood like I have....

Nope its a real SLP firehawk hood.

It has a little damage but iam pretty sure the body shop i go to can handle it!

i belive that you can buy the parts now, without the core charge and such like they were, as GM restoration sells the hawk parts.

yeah that guy has a bunch of hoods for sale, i saw one a few weeks ago that was in better condition than that... and yeah a body shop can fix that schitt fairly easy...

Whats with those mustang type louvers in the sides, its that real firehawk hood.

Because I have seen numerous hoods on ebay that look just like that, and are not advertized as Firehawk. If I were you check it out a little more before you slap the cash down.

That Ebay User ID is the name of one of the guys at SLP, Thats Brian, his name on the old SLP board was "Horsepower", one of the Perf Parts forum moderators.

Its a legit hood, I believe its just surplus they are trying to get rid of, it is slightly damaged in one corner, and needs to be repainted, but if someone put some time into it, it would look very good.

And yes, the SLP Firehawk hood will fit ANY 1998-2002 model of firebird car, but you will have to trim the top of the front fascia a little where the nostrils fit behind it.

A friend of mine recently bought an H.O hood off of that guy that had a little chip on the corner from shipping damage. The body shop fixed it pretty easily with a little fiberglass work. Heck, buying that hood for 500.00 bucks and painting it and fixing it for 200 is alot better than paying SLP 700 for a new one that is on back order until sometime in January!
