  • the REAL way to install clear corners...

ok. first of all, you're sposed to go in from the TOP...DO NOT TAKE YOUR HEADLIGHTS OUT, it's a waste of time.if you look to the left, and right under the hood you'll see 2 black bars each with 2 bolts in them holding it together. then you can reach to the lights perfectly and you take the 3 bolts out of the light...thenyou do have to kind of force the light out/in...I recomend drilling a hole in the inner corner of the lens so all water will leak out of the lights...because clear corners are cheap and they leak. I've done this a few times...had to buy new lenses like 3 or 4 times and this is the best I can come up with.

mine have never leaked. ok i lie, one kept leaking. it seems rain and moisture was getting in the housing and it was gettin in through the hole that you put the light bulb and socket into. but ONLY on the drivers side. thats the only one that kept leaking. so i put a new one on and spread silicone all around the hole. i was lookin at my stock corner the other day tho adn i noticed there was a small black o-ring that went between the bulb socket and the hole of the clear corner. that i forgot to put on.....i think this might be your problem....

Well, I got a "?"... who else has clear corners that have not leaked? every pair I got for free because they were "defective" has leaked...I even tried putting rubber cement around the housing of the light...it still leaked. Where did you buy them if they didn't leak? what brand? if it's RKsport, they all leak, lol.

ehh I did mine from the bottom, no problems. unhooked like 2 bolts, there is an "access hatch" underneath.

You have much more room and such to do it frm underneath, still had to "force" them in a bit. was frustrating because I thought I was going to break stockers coming out and new ones going in.

my clear corners do not leak. I did find with my old turn signal bulb gaskets that they were torn which would have caused a problem. When I tried to source them from GM they told me I had to buy the entire socket to get the gasket. I ended up fabbing some gaskets out of some round rubber pieces I bought from Auto Zone (think they were master cylinder gaskets for a Chrysler and needed the centers cut out and the thickness shaved down a bit). My clear corners have yet to leak.

my clear corners dont leak either. but the install (98+ for me) was real easy. i took the headlights out, but that takes like 2 minutes a side.. dont know what everyone is worried about. then just take the screws out and swap em. wasnt bad at all. *shrug* maybe its just me but it took like.. 10 minutes..

My clears don't leak either, but they didn't line up real great either. There is a gap on the bottom of each. Tried everything and then just chalked it up to them being aftermarket parts. Anyone else have "that" problem? (these are RK Sport clears, btw.)

mine didn't line up perfectly, but you just have to tighten the screws 100% and it should fix the problem.

i never had any problem with taking the headlights out, they come right out in a matter of seconds, plus it make tons of room to work on the clear corners with ease
