Getting tint tomorrow... last words/comments?

So tomorrow is the glorious day. For $110 and a 5 year warranty, I'm getting all 3 windows tinted.

As of right now, I'm going 20% back %25 sides. I'm in Southern California so the cops or a little nazi-esque. I want to get a tint on the back window that Tahoes come with stock and on the sides I wanted to get just a tad lighter so it doesn't look so conspicuous during the day.

difference between 20% and 25% aint much... i'd say 20% isnt enough on the back... personally, if legal i'd go 5% back, 25% sides...

I think 5% might be a little too dark. I think I may get 15% in the back and 20% on the sides. What do most SUV's come with stock on the back windows?

Get the back as black as you can... mine is like limo tint i think they call it, u can't see much lookin from the outside. and i got 35% in the front cuz where i live the front windows your not alowed any % of tint in the front ones, but there is no limit on the back ones.

Make sure they get the back window right at the top where the defrost grid starts.

GO TO MIKE'S AUTO TINT!! They'll hook you up!!. I got all that done and my decals for $250. It's $150 alone just for the front window. Oh, and I've only been pulled over once for it, BUT, the cop just wanted to check out my car because he was walking around it alot. Then he told me, "well, have a nice day. And nice car by the way."

98Gold, your car looks pretty good man. I'm not sure if limo would look good on my car since it is white and also I really want to avoid negative attention from the police. I'm pretty sure I'll get 15% in the back and 25% on the sides... here's some pics of my car, tell me what you think.

I already know the answer.....limo tint all the way around, and 50% on the front. Seriously, the only way a cop is going to see your tint is if he is coming towards you or riding along side with you. If he's coming towards you, he's not going to make a U-turn just for you. If he's riding along side of you, make sure to just roll down the windows before he comes to you. Oh, if you had like a red car, or a black one, then I wouldn't go with limo. But white, definantly.

One more thing, it is not ILLEGAL to have 5% in the back. And if you have ANY tint on the side, you can get in trouble for it. So you might as well go 5%. :)

yea yea... haha, thanks a lot for your help man. As far as Mike's Auto Tint, what city is he in? I'm in Burbank (LA/Hollwood to give you an idea). Also, how much would he charge just for tint, because $110 is a good deal man.

My plan for my car is to go with 25% all the way around because the legal limit for Indiana is 35%..

yea... damnit, I'm just gonna go tomorrow (the day got moved) and get whatever my gut says and then I'll post pictures and hopefully get thumbs up and no "if only you went darker" =).

I wouldn't take any advice from this guy. And were you seriously suggesting he put tint on his windshield? A cop will pull a U-turn for front tinted windows. It's also incredibly easy to see when side windows are tinted..you don't have to be riding right along side of the car.

Tinted windows really stand out to police. When it's 2 AM and raining out,,you'll have to cross your fingers to get home without getting pulled over. But...they do make the car look good.

.... I was all set until you posted that. Thanks a lot ***! LOL. I would never tint my windshield and there is no way I will go limo anywhere (sorry 98, but if a cop pulled me over, I guarantee it would NOT be to tell me I have a nice car :D ).
