• How to get these scratches out

On both quarter panels of my car there are a whole bunch of little scraches. The scratches are not deep at all. The scratches make my car look really bad. Will anytihng get the scratches out w/ out getting a new paint job? Thank you to Loochy for hosting my pics.

unfortunately, that looks like youll need new paint. ive personally never seen scratches like that. it looks more like the paint cracked.

Oh, and thats not my site, its just what most people on camarov6 use to host their pics.

I have heard that Meguiar's SCRATCH X works pretty well for small scratches like those, but I have never tried it. From what it looks like to me, it didn't get past the clear coat which is good. Good luck.

Scratch-X will never get those out. You may want to try wet-sanding the area very lightly with 2000 grit sand paper. Then go over it with rubbing compound. But it looks to me like it's going to need to be repainted.

I was afraid of that. I do have the meguiars scratch x. I am gonna try that after I wash my car this week. If that doesnt work. I guess I will have to save up for a new paint job.

I would try a good rubbing compound and it would atleast make it look better than it is now, and then go over it with some wax.

A rubbing compound should get most of those out

once again, i dont think rubbing compound will get that out. you can try it, but i think rubbing that down might only make it worse.
