from a trans am hatch? Im having the whole hatch repainted and the body shop said that i should remove the spoiler before bringing it in. he said i should do this to save myself money, because they would charge me more for extra labor.
anyway, do i just remove the plastic modling from the inside of the hatch and unbolt it or what? what would i do about the 3rd brake light wire?

I don't think you can remove it. Thats why guys on here have to buy the whole hatch if they want to convert over to that style spoiler. I bet they wish it was as easy as unbolting it. But sorry!
k, so i finally got around to seeing if i could take the spoiler off the decklid. I pulled off the plastic molding and there are about 7 bolts. thats about it......
bad thing is that i found 2 hairline cracks on either side of the hatch. i called the paint shop and i take it in on monday. its gonna be about 275 for the whole thing. cant wait for tuesday now......
