Ok, I want some black-outs for my car. They look sweeeeet. But then I see they go on with velcro? Thats going to destroy my paint right? Will that even stick on goin on the highway? Are these blackouts even worth the money. I have to know!

I used to have the front ones and 1 fell off and i was afraid to take the velcro off because of the paint, The rear ones are cool I still ahve those. They snap on pretty easily and there is no goo.

I've had mine for several months now and the only place any paint has been damaged is on the small metal support you place on the bottom of teh blackout. My car's paint is perfectly fine. I've never had one come off, the velcro is insanely strong. I've been going over 100 and they stayed on fine. They're super easy to put in and take off and I would suggest anyone who wants them to get them. It's probably one of the simplest and best appearance mods you can do.

I had GTS headlight blackouts for a while, they looked good and only came off once (in an automatic car wash)...I had to replace the velcro a few times because I was constantly taking them off at night because my lights wouldn't shine through at all. Anyway, I got rid of those and bought the GTS Projector Beam headlight covers, and I like 'em a whole lot more. Not only have they stayed on better (they are not as long as the blackouts) and my headlight beams shine good through 'em.

I also got RKSport turn signal blackouts, and those look sweet...no problem with them coming off at all.

hope no one steals them, that's like having chromies for your air caps on your tires, very easy to just take.
