• Exhaust Pipes - Opinions

I'm wanting your opinions on this. I wanna change out my factory exhaust with something different. I love the way the SS exhaust looks (two chrome pipes). I've also seen some other ones that are like that but bigger (like the one on Seals page http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/membe...=212696&page=3 - the black car)
and those look pretty nice and agressive.

i've also seen some dual exhaust systems with the dual tips like the B&B Tri Flow
http://www.lmperformance.com/965/13.html

and the RK Sport Rear Section Dual Exhaust Kit, 1993-1997 3.4L and 3.8L Camaro/Firebird (Chrome Oval Tips)
http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1035

the RK sport rear section dual exhaust kit is more around my price range and its not a cat-back system, so i'm thinking of going with that one.

i'm not sure about the performance and sound end of it, but if it looks good and adds even the slightest ammount of power, i'm all for it.

what are your opinions on the look of it?
car info should be in my sig. I have tinted windows too, so that'll make a diff. on the appearance.

btw. i posted this in appearance because i'm asking what you guys think looks better

That page is actually mine, and the black car is too (silver's is seal's pimp ride.) They are flowmaster 3 inch pipes, got them for 220 plus installation at the local muffler shop. Sounds awesome, very loud. The are chrome tips and are angled cut at 45 degrees. Looks farking sweet. here is a link to some more pics taken during the day. There are some better shots of the pipes.

would you mind sending me some info on your exhaust system through e-mail?

That's really the first thing I wanna change on my car. The stock one isn't too impressive looking or sounding

if you feel like it, send it to

To tell you the truth, that is all I know about the exhaust. I took it to the guy, said "i want it to be loud, and big. Angled cut and chrome. Dual." he did the rest. Now that I think about it, I didnt even take it. My mom did =]. I told her I wanted it to be loud and dual, w/ angled cut. The muffler shop will know what you are talking about. I can take more pics if you want, my car is VERY photogenic.

if it ain't a problem for you, sure.
i'm just wondering if the actual muffler itself is changed or if they just put the duals on it.

really really really nice car btw. i'm jealous :D
that was pretty much the car I wanted to buy b4 I got mine (i totally like mine now though.).

now all you need is t-tops and i'd be completely jealous.

thanks for the info btw

well, i like the quad tips, they look real nice on our cars, but if u want dual, go with 3" they look agressive imo. cixeldsy's tips are more angled at the end unlike mine, that makes it look agressive, but i like less angle on mine better since my car isnt that "aggressive i'd go with flows and quads if i were u, but 3" will give it a deeper sound.

well, just read a bit more heh, yes, the muffler is changed, thats what chagnes the tone of the car so yes, when u look under the car the big rectangle metal thing will be replaced with the flows, and tips will be added lemme see if i can find a way to get the sound of the car

Nothing in the world will look better than dual/dual tips. Corsa has the best by far

hey, wanted to tell ya that i have the exhasut sytem that RKsport offers , the one with the dual oval tips.its an okay system, i would have rather got a flowmaster, but the dual tips looks real good, and if u dont like the ones it comes with u can always get others, but the system is actually just a dynoax muffler with tips, they charge too much for it i think, u can find the parts cheaper if u dont buy from RK. im thinking about changing my exhaust so it has a flowmaster muffler and 3' tips, more of an SS look.....
hey man, is that a z28 or SS?
~dont be so hoe style
SS hood ,WW commando spoiler, 16x8 eagle rims, falen rubber, two chamber dynomax muffler with 2.5 in. dual chrome tips, high flow cat, cold air intake, H&R springs(2 inch drop)kenwood deck, infinity kappa 6x9s,bostons 6\'s, rockford 600.4 amp, rockford hx2 12. altezzas, clear sidemarkers, shaved trunk(key hole and camaro embossment), piaa lights, cutstom red/black interior, reverse indiglo guages, mroe to come....

thanks guys. i'm leaning more toward the 3" with flowmasters now.

it looks GREAT appearance wise, and you guys say it sounds really nice. how much do you guys think it'll cost me? also, is it a catback system? the RKsport one appealed to me because it wasn't, and it looked good still.

you don't think they're too big?
the thing I liked about the SS pipes is that they were thin nand didn't look too monstorous. sometimes they look a little too small for the cars though.

the 3" look really aggressive. does moving up to 3.5 make the pipes look a little too big? or even more aggressive?
also, would i be sacrificing any sound?

hey i got a 95 3.4 bird and have flowmaster dual chrome 3.5 inch angle cut tips and they look bad a$$. i wouldn't want anyhting different at first i wanted dual tip dual exhaust but when i saw the 3.5 angled chrome i wanted them they look really aggressive and the sound is awsome too. i almost made a guy sh!t himself at a crosswalk. too fun. so imo i like the 3.5 they don't look too big jsut right. my 2 cents

i think i'm gonna go with Flowmaster American Thunder system with 3" Chrome Angle Cut Pipes (dual). Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys

3.5" just looks a bit too big for my likings and sort of outsizes my car imo.
