  • Dying my seats....

Well, after Onyx dyned his seats red, I went to Pep Boys, who unfortunately didn't have any of the Mocha fabric stuff, so I went to Wal-Mart and got DupliColor Vinyl/Fabric spray, in the sand color. I did my rear seat, and I'm doing my passenger front seat now. I'm not doing the backs also though, just the bottom parts of the seats, as my dad and I both agreed that the back, in this color, would just be TOO much.

So anyways, the color didn't come out as I had hoped though. The cap looked almost the same color as my car, but after painting it, it's more of a yellowish tan color. It doesn't look too bad though... once I get all of them painted I'll post pics.

Well... after the rear passenger side and front passenger side seats back in the car, i decided it looked like total *** ! Yup, *** . Soooo, after 1 hour of scrubbing with Fantastik, I got about 3/4 of the dye off the seats, so now they just look REALLY dirty, lol. Wellp, guess I'll be needing two new passenger side seats :( That was a dumb *** idea. Someone smack me.

Why not wait for the other paint to come and try it with that? Cheaper than buying new seats, and since they are ruined already it wont hurt to try.

Naw, the other color was exactly the same basically, just different brand. Besides, I'd like to get a pair of Corbeau A4 seats anyways. I wonder how much a single rear bucket seat costs though? I'd think it'd be cheap since it's like nothing but foam, but knowing GM it'll be like $200 ;)

Well, I went and bought a can of black, and went over it in that, and it looks better now. So I'm just gonna do all of it in black, lol.
