considering i've never seen this done, i'm assuming that it won't work. but i was just curious if fenders from a firebird would work on a camaro...or any of the actually body parts. any ideas?

Well, that depends if you are talking about the actual fenders (which are in the front) or if you mean the rear quarter panels. I know for a fact that the rear quarter panels from a Firebird will not work on a Camaro without extensive modification. Since our cars are built off of the same chassis I would imagine a Firebird front fender would work if it was purchased as part of a new front clip.
I guess the reason this has not been done is not because it cannot be done but nobody really has the motivation to build a Camaro/Firebird hybrid and if you were going to convert a Camaro into a Firebird or vice versa the costs involved would be more than just buying the car as a whole.
Really when it comes to cars and customization the question isn't "can it be done" but rather "can you afford it". If you are expecting a Firebird body panel to be a simple bolt on modification I wouldn't count on it.
I'd like to tell you yes or no definitely but having never tried it the only thing I can tell you is maybe. If you do try it and succeed let us all know.
