  • a Question I know only you guys hav e the answer to

hello all I am new to the board and I am once again a f-body owner my question is I just got my car detailed to get all that oxidation off but the body strips on the driver and passenger door have started to turn white and it looks like crap does anyone know if they are held on with double side tape or bolted on threw the door I am looking for any help on this one I don't want to start peeling them off and then realize that I have just screw my door up it is a 94 camaro thanks in advance

many people on this board will recomend removing your side molding. you can try it, but i have seen it pull some clearcoat off with it. most people have no problem taking it off.

so there is no bolt underneath the striping great because it looks like crap right now and the detail shop is going to do it so I will let them worry about the clear coat thanks again

Other than clearcoat another thing to worry about is faded paint, the paint under the striping isn't fade while the rest is.

can i get a pic of a camaro with it removed? I am gonna have car repainted soon and I wouldnt have to worry about the "paint fade" or "clear coat coming off"

there are no bolts, rip that off if youre getting the car repainted and youre not worried about door dings. thats why mines still on there.
