I have a 95 camaro and my steering wheel is starting to peel or something. Its like the black is coming off and gray is starting to show. I dont think its really leather wrapped
since i dont have leather seats or anything.
Is there anyway to fix this before it gets even worse???

No there is no real way to fix this. unfortunalty that is the life of our steering wheels. Mine comes off in pieces in my hands. A new one is 266 from the dealer. I might switch to a leather wrap one there 60 from fbody.com
My new ride 2000 camaro, No mods yet still waiting for warranty to run out then all out heads, cam, and supercharger
I am kinda having the same problem. The only thing that I can think of is that the sun has baked it too much. I used armor all but that just comes off on my hands after a couple of day. Probly better off getting a cover or a new s-wheel.

too many miles but it looks great
runs great too
no great mods though
I would do a new wheel if I was you. Takes about an hour to swap. Pretty straight forward. I did it in my 2000 because I installed radio controls. It took me right @ 2 1/2 hours to do it but I had to run the wires down the steering colum for the airbag and the radio controls. I think I paid $50 for the steering wheel.

My steering wheel started turning gray too, so I just got one of those covers to match the rest of the steering wheel, and it looks fine now. Gives me better grip too.

I got mine off of e-bay but I know you can also get them from www.speedautomotive.com The steering wheel controls are a new option in 2000. If you really wanted them I could give you instructions on how to do it. Replacing it was pretty straight forward. The only special tool you would need would be a wheel puller which you can rent or buy from autozone.

if your car is supposed to have a leather wraped wheel then it does... mine is leather, but in '95 i know that was an upgrade. (i dont have leather int either)

I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
