You don't have to buy another piece, but you should still get rid of it.
You won't ruin it by sanding it either.

I think your car looks really nice, but a generally accepted definition of rice is making ones car appear faster than it really is. One way they do this is by trying to make it look like a higher up model. The front with the transam in the center is what I would call rice.

Once again, car is no where close to the definition of rice. I put the TA nose on there because I cant stand the Firebird nose, sorry guys, but it is ugly. If I wanted to make my car "rice" i would take off my firebird emblems and put Trans Am there. There is no need to take off, or sand the TA center piece because as long as I know my car is a Firebird, and not a Trans Am, then there is no identity crisis in my eyes. I dont brag that I have a TA center piece, and when people compliment that I have a nice Trans Am, I tell them its a Firebird. I have no shame. Dont mistake my car for the 3000GT on the side of me. Hes my friend "rice", but thats one ricer that I wouldnt mess with.

Alrighy.. I think its cool, i got z28 stickers on my v6 camaro.. i think its cool man.. i got some of the totaly cool japeneese characters for the back window.... and the big superwing is in the mail.. im thinking about geting it lowerd and puting neons on it.. WAIT NO IM NOT.. that would be rice... take the trans-am stuff off.. leave the front (i dont like firebird fronts either).. and the gfx's look really good..

if he wants it that way, what's to say that he can't or shouldn't leave it that way? I mean he's the one who has to drive it and like it at the same time.

theres a difference between faking and actually lying. in this case all he's doing is 'twisting the truth'. but it's his choice imo.
(not saying I would put misleading badges or anything like that on my car, but its a matter of taste, if someone likes it theres no point in bashing them for it.)

Your post was funny, but you know whats not funny, that happened in my town. Some kid with a red 94 firebird put a big japanese sticker on his car(back window), and he put a huge supra wing too. painted his interior white, and put a big white sticker across his back window. Also put APC stickers all over it too. That is rice. how bout I post a new pic, and Ill cover up the Trans Am piece in photoshop. Will that make everyone happy??

i still say it's rice it don't look like no transam and the statement that it's got eveything a trans am has execpt engine and tranny had me laughing for a while [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img] if you ever do get a turbo( ricers always say yea i am gettting a turbo soon ) not that you wont' get one but it still ain't gonna be a lt1 v8 and damn sure won't sound like one :D

Formalao, your car looks good, but by it being a V6 instead of a V8, I disagree with TA logo in the rear. It will make you look bad in the long run unless you did an engine swap.
