  • paint my calipers

The other day I saw some chrome spray paint. Well, you know not crome but like a really, really shinny silver that looks chrome. I want some of that for my calipers, but that paint I doubt would be able to withstand the heat. I was wondering if there is any silver, or chrome-like caliper paint. I've looked at supertrack, and pep boys and they really dont have much. Any hints guys?

        Check out this link http://www.bambeezer.com/formula/calipers.htm

Let me tell you a couple things from when I did mine. You'll need the 60 grit bands for the dremel in both sizes as well as the 120 or 170 forget which one it comes in along with the 220 and 400 like Brandon says. The one side I did not using the 120 and didnt get alot of the scratches the 60 left. So on the passenger side I used the 120 and they came out alot nicer.

I had trouble getting into the tiny indents on the back front of my calipers with the dremel. Since mine were painted red prior it was even worse to get the paint outta there. They do really come out nicely though. I still had some tiny indented lines from the 60 grit band that I just couldnt get out with spending more time then I had. The Tripoli stuff works really great too and Home Depot should have everything you need.

        Good luck! :D
