I was just wondering how everyones air/fuel gauges acted. I have an autometer carbon fiber and the led's start in lean/red and light up through yellow and green the more you push the gas and dimly light leds bounce back and fourth as you drive. I have never seen another one like this although I haven't seen many. My friend got an autometer phantom gauge yesterday on a 199* dodge daytona and his has 2-3 leds that are very bright that bounce back and fourth then when you floor it they hit the green and it starts lighting up backwards to half way through yellow. Then he said his friend with a mid 90's Talon has an autometer with only 1 led that bounces back and forth. So this has me wondering now what makes these gauges act so differently. Is it the car, the gauge or the way you have it hooked up?! So those of you with F-bodies what do yours look like?

A lot of it depends on where the O2 sensor that you hooked it up to is. I used to have mine on one of the manifold O2 sensors, but all it ever did was bounce back and forth. Now I used the O2 in front of the cat. It works pretty well, but its still just a light show and doesnt tell you much. Once my engine heats up it will read right in the middle of the yellow for normal town driving unless i brake hard or floor it. If i floor it it goes a little rich and if i brake hard it reads the engine as very lean.

How does yours look though? is it the style with a couple leds bouncing around or does it start from lean to rich and always light up consecutivley red yellow green with red always on. If that makes any sense.

I have the autometer ultra-lite. It probably has the same internals as yours. It ususally lights up consecutivley from red-yellow-green. It sits on mid yellow on normal driving.
