do you mean this thing? web page

its at Tbyrne and its an *** load of cash. COULD look cool but would need to be on something besides that pic. Saw a desent looking silver maro with blue stripes and it didn't look half bad. Good weight-cutter, but for $860 + s/h, painting, and install. I don't think its worth it.

Do a search for Sport Back
I've heard good stories, and horror stories about the darn thing not fitting and needing custom fibeglass work.

I remember another type of rear hatch replacement in a magazine once that very different. It was essentially a truck bed mod, dipping down into the trunk area. Very El Camino-ish. Haven't seen it since and never on a car...

not necessarily a bad thing I guess but who knows?

Speaking of the el-camaro... does anyone know about the website? I can't find it ANYWHERE!

It was featured in a Car Audio and Electronics way back when, and I usually go there every now an then to get my creative juices flowing, but now I can't find the site!

Does anyone know of any others? I did a Dogpile search and came up with nada.

Are you referring to the magazine or the car?

If it's the mag -> http://www.caraudioelectronicsweb.com/

The el-camaro, no idea... :(

I take that back! I found these: Picture 1 Picture 2

That would be it!

The car used to have it's own website. www.elcamaro.com but its been "not found" for quite a while now.

It's really a beautiful car. I liked the ranchero and the elcamino. I think a newer style one would be blasphemy, but it works with the pre-98 models.

Thanks!

Wow, that's uh... interesting. I personally think it would be cool to see someone do a custom bird/camaro similar to that, but with a roof that goes back just slightly further, and a rear window in the back, with a trunk lid. The hatchback is nice, but an actual trunk would be cool. Or what would be even better would be to make a full backend copy of a 68 vette (better than that window replacement.) :D
