Ok, does anyone know if this thing (you can get it from SLP for about 30 bucks by the way)will fit fine on an M5. I am plannign the install the short stick later and i know it works fine on it, but will it work ok on just my regular stick?? I mean will it like just screw onm fine and come out on the right side

Ripoff?? I wouldn't say that.... I've seen the quality of the AutoZone shift knobs and honestly, they SUCK! :( The Hurst knobs from SLP are truly a quality leather knob! Just check out any factory Hurst shift knob and an AutoZone leather knob side-by-side and you'll see the difference! ;)
Yes it will fit your stock shifter and it will fit the short stick. Although, the short stick as far as I know won't mount onto the stock shifter. You will need an aftermarket shifter to get the short stick on. I went with the SLP shift knob.
