keyless entry solves it..

you can get the smoothlocks from here. http://www.phantomss.com/smoothlock/trunk.shtml

like 94teal said, i have keyless entry and i just recently replaced the batteries so they are good for awhile.

since those pics, i have recently added the trunk version smoothlock and centercap decals. the pics i took were on my phone so they aren't the best quality. also, my trunk lock is fading so the silver ring you see around it is where it doesn't cover. i need to get some touch-up paint on it. thanks for the compliments. Why didn't you paint the Smooth Locks? Doesn't that kinda go around the purpose of them?

b/c the door handles and locks are black so i wanted to keep it the same. also if i looked up the paint code for my car to paint them, they still wouldn't match b/c my car is 10 yrs old and sits outside everyday in FL weather. but most important, i'm just lazy and don't feel like trying to color-match the smoothlocks. Looks great, honestly I think you need to stop looking into other cars... and look into a motor swap for this one

                            Car as usual looks great.

thanks eric. i'm so torn about doing a motor swap. if i did do one i'll look into an ls1 swap over an lt1. i think it would be a much better investment for the ls1. i need to wait and hear back from my supervisor about my promotion for my job then i'll see how much more i make. hopefully next summer i'll have either a new car or a 6spd/motor swap.
