  • Remove body kit and lower?

I was thinking about taking my Xenon kit off and lowering my car. Does anyone have a pic of a camaro with 17s lowered? If i do lower it how low should i go?

why not just leave the kit on it, AND lower it...I lowered my car before I put my xenon kit on it...sure it made the car look a whole lot better but the kit just improved upon that...dont tak eit off

I just feel that the kit is a bit import-ish. I likeed it for while but now im not so sure about it. Does anyone have a pic of a camaro that is dropped without a body kit?

man, I love your kit. Do what you will though. I can see why you wouldn't want to lower it with the kit on because you scrape on EVERYHING.

I have a friend with a 2001 with the body kit. Around here he scrapes the front valence all the time. He is planning on removing it because of that. The 96 is getting ready to get the ~2" drop done, so I will let you know how that turns out, but the progressive rate springs should prevent any bottoming out.

Do what you want man, it is your ride afterall. If you scrape a lot, maybe it is a good idea to get rid of the kit instead of destroying it. If you want better handling, then the springs are the way to go. Just think long and hard before you make your decision and you'll be happy, I am sure of it. Just my 2¢

I have the W68 body kit and I scrape on almost everything. Although I am getting better at not scraping it.

Just drive carefully with it on. It'll have a bit of a learning curve, but doesn't take long to get the hang of avoiding scraping. I rarely every scrape anymore, and if I do it's because I rush myself and catch the bottom front valence which isn't visible anyways. So that's some food for though, you're gonna be scraping the part that no one ever sees if you do accidentally scrape.

I've got the stock body kit, and I wouldn't suggest you lower it any more than an inch.
