  • 93-97 fixed headlights

Is there someone making this kind of fixed headlight conversion kit for the 93-97 Firebird? I think it would look rally sweet.

    Nope, none for the 93-97s.

Personally, I think it would look terrible. The lines on our cars would make it just look, well, weird!!

I saw fixed headlights for a Firebird on the Camaroz28.com webpage. The car was orange and I guess the guy was in a car show and had some pictures of his cars with girls near it. I know he had a pic of the fixed headlights though.

I had seen an fbrid with fixed lights the other day but by the time I got through the light and did a u-turn the car was gone.. Looked pretty good too. If you find out anything let me know, I'm in search of the same thing but nothing had come up.

That light setup is only for 98 and later birds, and it costs a grand for the kit. the company doesn't have any plans as far as I know to make them for early 4th gens.

I searched for the longest time a while back on fixed headlights for the 93-97 Birds, but couldn't find any, and I don't think we ever will, and here's why. In order to have the fixed headlights like the 98+ models, there would have to be enough "downslope" across the hood and headlight area to where the headlights could mount upright inside of the headlight housing. I've been looking at my bird here recently, and if you really look at it, you'll see it's really not very possible. The 93-97 frontends aren't as sloped downwards as the 98+, meaning there wouldn't be enough clearance for the beams to be able to actually show up on the road, they're simply be mounted too low because there isn't enough space. Even if you move them back a bit, they still wouldn't be able to clear the top of the headlight housing very effectively. It's hard to describe it in writing, but if you take a look at it, maybe you'll see what I mean. By no means would I pay a grand for it, I was actually just going to try and find a way to do it myself, but like I said, from what I've seen so far, it doesn't look like there will ever be a fixed headlight setup for the 93-97 Birds. I'd love for someone to come up with some way around it though, so let me know if anyone finds anything.
