wow bubba...you really like sticking up for a product...yes your right I did just put the lok and the Z2...(next time make a cheat sheet so I dont have to go back to the website to know what your talking about)...I dont have heavy swirl marks and paint is smooth as a babies bottom...I dunno...zaino may have lasted a long time on your finishes just like liquid glass lasted me the same amount of time....Im not saying zaino sucks, by all means your car shines very nicely, but for the money and amount of work I had to put into it, Ill stick with the cheaper liquid glass, I might try another coat of zaino to see what it does...if nothing...oh well...waste of money.....but next time calm down, 50% of the replies here are from you ;)

I, like Loochy, wax my car once a week if possible, at the least -- once every TWO weeks.. And following that procedure, my car shines DAMN good.. Without 1 coat of wax all winter here is what it looked like after surviving the million pounds of roadsalt it encountered driving to work:
And that was on a cloudy day after not getting waxed and driven thru snow/ice/roadsalt for about 5-6 months..
Heres what it was before:
And I use the Mothers & Meguiars... Good quality products there!Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D

Hey guys I detail Business Jets (Wax) mostly. The wax i use on them is called "Miracle Wax" its a cream. After I wax a jet I've never seen paint shine like it does after using this wax. I took some home with me and tried it out on my car.....wow!!! This wax holds up. What other wax can withstand 600 MPH speeds, extream temps....-60 C and the sun beating down on it 35-40,000 feet. You can get it here. www.prowax.com just click under Pro Pruducts then waxes at the bottom. Its 27 dollars for a gallon. Again this is just my experience with this wax, and I've used others and I think by far this takes them all.Mike
www.my99firebird.gq.nu

Zaino reminds me of other wax products I worked with before. Anyone here ever heard of AutoArmor or TST wax's/paint sealants? A dealership I worked for at one time sold this stuff for around $300 a bottle. Both products claimed they would keep paint smooth, shiny and safe from acid rain for 5-years; with only one application. To apply, we had to go through this big process of washing the car with special soap to "neutralize" the paint? lol Then apply the actual wax/paint sealant. It was smooth but no way did it last 5-years. A few months later a guy who bought a new BMW came back to the dealership bi#$##g that he had acid rain on his paint. Later that day some guy dressed in a suit representing TST came to the dealership with a special magnifying glass (like the kind jewelers use almost) and examined the bmw's paint. He said the product was never even applied but he was full of sh#$ because we did in fact apply it to the car. To make a long story short that crap simply washed off, big waste of money.
Maybe Zaino is good stuff, I don't know. To expensive for me. I'll stick with old school waxes.

I stick up for it because over anywax I have ever seen. It shines the best.
I do notice a trend you guys are all saying... I wax my car every weekend and it looks this great...
how many weekends, how many coats of wax.
Zaino has only been put on my car twice in its entire lifetime.
You guys keep saying its extra work but the reccomended shine for zaino is to apply it twice a year. People just apply it because it improves the shine with each coat.
Also another problem about Zaino, is you need to wash it with Dawn, specifically dawn has the best chemicals in it. Then claybar the car. Zaino will not bond with the paint if there is oxidation on it.
I will admit, I spent 6 hours my first time out there... but I also took breaks and washed and dried my rags between coats, and let the Zaino really bond to the paint.
But then again, I coudl not go 2 months without waxing my car and get compliments on it at car shows, with any other wax. But it happens with zaino.
You guys also talk that its so expensive, you can do an entire coat on a car with less then an ounce of either product.
If you went by Zaino's reccomended usage... a bottle would last you 4 years.
I am not trying to switch you over jsut help you guys out and inform you.
Everyone talks about oo there is so much detail and hard work to zaino. Its the Exact opposite its the most hands free no work needed wax I have ever heard of.
I freaking hose my car down before a meet, just hose, no carwash or dry. And peopel do say my car shines as much or more as the people that detailed there car that day.
Other stuff may shine near or as much, but nothing lasts as long. Once you get the starter kit its easy.
People run detailing businesses and most of their high end customers love zaino. These people charge and run businesses off of detailing cars...
Going rate for 3 coats of zaino on a car is $135-150, and $200 on SUVs and trucks.
btw weather you like zaino or not... come check out this place they have lots of good info on detailing f-bodies. Lots of good tips...

I bought Zaino, and I have to say it gave my car a nice shine. I have also used Mother's Phase II & Phase III, and they gave my car a great shine too. After the Zaino runs out, I'll go back to using good'ol Mothers again.

well, i agree that the shine is not distinguishable on a white car, but my car looks like enough of a mirror as it is. i have on many occasions gone up against cars in shows that were using ziano and beat them, and these were darker cars where the shine could really show through. i still think that (on a white car at least) the only noticeable difference is how long it lasts.

Loochy, your car looks BALLER if you ask me.. But heres a question for you all.. Honestly, how much better (if at all) do you think my car could shine if I forked out the cash for Zaino? I mean, just look at those pics...Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D

The thing is, for Zanio to work its best and blow away everything else out there, you need the starter kit (which is like $85).
and the durability of it will pay for itself in the long run. to be able to have a truck Zanioed in September, then drive it all winter, off road, on road, through salt and snow, and wash it in March and have it shine like the day you put it on there is amazing.
Ive seen em all, and Zanio is the best, hands down.
NOTE: it is VERY, VERY, VERY important that you only use a VERY little bit of it. Too much will look just like a regular wax. The less you use, the better.
