Can't be that reflective on a light pewter color car. Any BLACK car looks WAY shinier when taking a picture of, even when it's dirty. So its a bit unfair from that perspective.

                gues your right guys...

                enjoy what you want...

....but don't you think its funny that people on every major board swear by the stuff like its a godsend, and the average going rate to get 2-3 coats of zaino from a professional detailer costs $150 for car and $200 for large truck and SUV...

I thought the same as you all, I am a cheap bastard(notice all my car had limied ghetto mods) but I heard it was a really good protector, and since I spent less money then I expected on a new car, I blew a little extra cash to try it out.

and I love the stuff... won't use anything else...

I stick up for it because over anywax I have ever seen. It shines the best.

I do notice a trend you guys are all saying... I wax my car every weekend and it looks this great...

how many weekends, how many coats of wax.

Zaino has only been put on my car twice in its entire lifetime.
I swear that you guys will never learn..

I have used Meguiar's Polymer Sealant, as well as many other things... Zaino shines at about the equal levels, but I can promise you that the Mequiar's Polyer Sealant lasts far longer... ((Plus it's cheaper))

With Polymer Sealant, it is recommended that you apply it every 6 months, AT MOST!!! I have not waxed my car in 8 months, and the water still beads, the car still shines, and it feels like glass. For those people that have not tried Polymer Sealant, TRY IT!!!!! I have tried many things, but nothing have ever performed for me like this.

I think the reason why Zaino has such an impact is because they need you to really clean your car, first with Dawn, then you CLAY it, then you apply it. Just the claying alone, will give you a dramatic difference already. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's like not washing your car for a couple of months, then one day you wash it and you are so blown away. I think Zaino is like that. I'm sure if you wash your car with Dawn, then Clay it really clean, then add whatever wax you want, you can get the same jaw dropping-WHOA-effect.

Has anyone ever done just that?? Wash the whole car with Dawn, then clay it, then apply zaino on half the car or half of some panel, and apply some other wax on the other half. I'm sure you can't tell what is what.

Seems the main difference is how long it last.

I know what you are saying as well prep work really does have an impact I have clayed and dawned before....Not sure if I posted it here or not but one of the biggest pluses is teh staying power of it... claying doesn't help it "last as long"

yeah, claying don't have anything to do with how long it last. Claying does, however, make the surface of the paint flatter by taking away a lot of contaminants on the surface. So the surface is flatter and therefor, the paint can reflect more, so the car is shinier.
Ah, makes me feel like going out there and clay my car right now, it's been months and I can feel bumps on the bumper...but I'm busy with work and stuff.
