my car was just keyed

Man Im pissed. Lil brat keyed my car. Its from the mid front right fender to the middle of the door, and its very noticable. Is there anything I can do to fix it or at least make it less noticable?

dont know who the lil brat is, and theres a million lil brats where my car was parked cuz it was parked outside the middle school. so finding the kid would be impossible.

Unfortunately, the parents are probably as bad as the kid (if both of them are even around). Years ago, I worked at a camp and some kid poured a can of soda over my new black 94' Camaro. When I got home, I noticed something sticky all over the rear hatch, so I tasted it and realized it was soda.... within less than a week, I found out who did it (the other kids told me) and tried to contact his parents... they were divorced and the father (who he lived with) could care less and wouldn't even answer the phone or anything... Years later, I saw the kid (about 17 years old) in passing and overheard him laughing saying to the other kids that when he was younger he poured soda over my car!!! MY FREAKIN BLOOD BOILED. I couldn't believe he had the brass balls to brag about something like that. I got him to the side and got right in his face (he was the same size as me now or a little bigger) and asked him why the hell he did it (thinking all the while, god, if I hit this dirtbag, he's going to sue me)...of course at that point he denied doing it at all... That's what low-lifes are all about.
There was NO DAMAGE to my paint in that incident, but if there was, I would have definately gone to the police about it. You can't play games with people like this. There is no way in hell you should pay for the damage that someone else blatantly did to your car. Who's to say that kid won't do it again? I would file a report ASAP.

I just saw your other post... was this after school or during school hours? If it was during school hours, call the school and find out who's classes were outside at that time. If it was after school, call the school anyway and let them know what happened. Give them all of the information about it and tell them that you are filing a report about it and would like to hear back from them whether (or not)they find out who it is. A lot of times, a "decent" kid will come forward and tell a teacher or another student and eventually it gets out. It happens ALL THE TIME in the High School I work at.

Try scratch remover, then I would fill in the scratch with touch up paint (advanced auto parts-- thats the name right??? has touch up paint with a little pen point on one end and a brush on the other end) then wetsand it with a VERY FINE grit to make it level then wax over it. i did this for some rock chips on my headlight. I dont know how thick of a scratch is is though.

How deep does the scratch look to be? is it all the way through the paint. a picture would definitely help.

if its too deep (read: totally through the paint), the only thing that is going to fix it is a professional touch up.

I agree, let the school know what happened, and file a report. Heck the school may even have cameras. My old high school installed cameras all over that place (inside and out) a couple years before graduation. Either way, they might be able to find the responsible party.
