If the scratch is only in the clearcoat, not the bare metal, you can get it professionally buffed out.

sorry about your ride man, I have all these scratches on my ride...but it was the guy who had it before me...

Waxing scratches is not really bad... wax just will stay on top of the scratch until you wipe it out. if anything waxing a scratch will help to protect the damaged part of the paint/or protect the metal beneath from rust...

They sell some touch up paint at pepboys or auto sone that comes in a little bottle that matches your paint color. I have used it on my car before for minor scratches and it worked pretty good. That would really piss me off. I would try to find who did it at the school and sue the parents.

I have sebring silver but the closest they have is silver metallic. Should I try that? I didn't want to buy it because it was $6.

I think John Travolta said it best in the movie Pulp Fiction:

"What's more chicken-sh*t than messin' with another man's automobile?"

Will your auto insurance cover it? I would notify them and find out. Granted, it would be much better to find the person that did it, but if not, better insurance pay for it than your paycheck. Sorry about your car.
