I'd like to really tackle my engine this weekend so I bought some engine foam cleaner and the CD-2 detailer. I know I'm not supposed to hit the alternator so that will be covered up but what about the area "3800 SERIES II" and the throttle body where the CAI elbow goes into. Can I get water on these parts and not worry about where the water runs down to?
I'd recommend puttin a plastic bag over the alt, coils, and take off the elow and intake and cover the throttle body too. U DO NOT want water seeping in the throttle body. So just cover those 3 main things and ur set. Clean ur intake and elbow separately anway . Hope this helps. -B
And the top part where it says 3800 series too is the upper intake. You can get that wet all u want. Just cover the throttle body really well.

damn, i guess i was lucky, i've cleaned my engine with water before, haven't use that engine cleaning stuff yet, but i didn't cover anything. Lucky for me nothing has gotten inside my throttle body, no problems yet.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
