Hey guys, there is a long strip from when they placed the temp tags on my TA in the rear window, and I went to get it off with a razor blade the other day, and stopped when I thought...wow, the razor will take the tint film as well. What a dork I am...
Anyhoo, after my revalation of about how stupid I was going to almost be, I thought that I might ask here as to how to go about getting that crap off my window, and leaving the tint?
I would start with a mild detergent in warm water and lightly scrub with a soft cloth. If that doesn't work, I would move on to mild solvents, like GooGone. DON'T use any abrasives, and don't get any more aggressive than rubbing alchohol.
Touline, gasoline, kerosene and the like will cause more damage than your razor blade could have!
Good Luck!

I would try a mild soap at first because that would be the most gentle. If you use a product such as googone it might make the tint begin to peel up because that product is used to remove sticky stuff so becareful with that. I'm sure if the tape hasn't sat on the tint for too long you should be fine. Goodluck

Goo gone reacts with adhesives, it's usually safe to use on tint because the tint isn't porous and doesn't allow the adhesive to come in contact with it.
What ever you use, be sure to try it on an inconsipicous area first.
Good Luck!
