Alright I have a 2002 Silver Camaro, and I was wondering if it would be stupid to put RS badges on it...

Because later I was planning on getting a ultra-z hood and some black racing stripes.. I think it would look good but I dunno if it would be stupid to add badges to something that it isnt..

i dont think it would be stupid, it just depends on what you want... what would be stupid would be to put z28 or ss badges on a v6. you can get different types of badges @ rksport.com, little expensive, but thats where i got my chrome rs badges and i couldnt be happier with them... or you can go a much cheaper route and get those plastic chrome spray painted badges off ebay for like 5 bucks

Well, as an RS owner, I would be a bit turned off to see you mascarading as one.

But, I put mock 35th stripes on my car becuase i think they look cool. Am i pretending to be an SS?

      Why do you want them?

Since you have ground effects, nobody could really tell, but...

        don't do it.

Would you put a Firebird badge on it? No, and why? It's not a Firebird... think about it.

They only made 443 RS's in 2002. To not take away from true RS owners, I'd get custom 3800 emblems or something instead.

Its your car, do what ever makes you happy, i wouldnt listin to someone tell you not to just because "it takes away from real rs owners" so if you like the badges then go for it

I wanted them because I wanted there to be something on the side of the car.. And i wanted to have the badges not just a little decal that looks cheap.. I want something on there that looks good.. Sorta like the 95 Camaros that have that Camaro badge on the side..

So get a pair of those, because you actually own a Camaro, not an RS.

By the way, those badges were on 93's & 94's only.

If you want to than go for it!

I recently purchased SLP's otpion Sheet for the Firebird, and I MIGHT be making my car into a SLP Firebird GT. Because I think they are awesome. I will just have to buy every option that was available.

But My Firebird is a 2000, so it will be like a "Post Production" Model. ;)

& about the badges...if you wanna do it, go for it. it's your car. just be ready with an answer when someone says "that's not a real RS." :D

& definitly don't do the z28/ss badges. ppl will just thinkg you're dumb

dmiller, if you want the badges get them. The 4th gen RS was defined by the ground effects, which you have. When I got my 02' with the sports appearance package I immediatly put the RS decals on it, it looks much better, and I've never had anyone question me. And Casanova, an RS is a Camaro, it just has some aftermarket parts, sorry to break it to you but you actually own a camaro as well.

See I dont think that Chevy made the RS's it was just an extra option that I think maybe the dealer put on.. I could be wrong..
