does anyone know how to make the switch box to take the place of the ash tray. I have a 01 and would like to put in a swtich box in my ash tray, but I have no experience with fiberglass or anything. Just wondering if y'all could lend me a hand

All i did was get a scrap piece of sheet metal and i took dremel and measured out the length and width of the switch and cut the hole. Then i took out the ash tray and placed the sheet metal there to see if it would fit. It took a couple of tries to get it perfect because of the hinges for the ash tray cover. once i had it perfect i took some screws and put two screws on each corner at the bottom then i took out the sheet metal again and painted it black and clear coated it. put the switch in, wire it up, screw in the sheet metal. That was all i did.
Hey acidragon take some pics of that for me. What I did was use the existing ash tray cover, drilled holes in it for my switches and LEDs. It looks pretty sharp. You might want to consider that.
