• Getting new wheels, what to get?

I have successfully saved enough money to get new wheels for my RS. Now I have narrowed it down to three different wheels. One is the torque thrust II, which looks great on any f-body. I have also seen a black trans am with Cobra R wheels and it made my mouth water. Here are a few pics, tell em what u think. Choice 1, 2, or 3. If none of the 3 satisfy your taste, please let me know what does. Thanks for the input.

I like the cobra rims. they do look very nice. I prefer ZR1, ZO6, and a few forged racing rims myself. the ZR1 and ZO6 are very stock looking if you only got them silver painted and help the car look like a "sleeper". The thing is, I'm stuck between wider ZR1 rims, or taller ZO6 rims. since I can't and wouldn't put forged rims on my firebird, I'm stuck w/ this dillema. There's also a set of 18x9.5 6-spoke rims on tirerack.com that I like as well. Go w/ your gut instinct man. Good luck.

If there's not any f-body's in your area with the Thrust, go with them. The cobras are sweet though!

F*ck, I can't take this sh!t anymore. I usually don't write negative posts but damn, I've had enough. Everyone has the TT 2's. You know what, they don't look as good as everyone says. They are very plane, they don't come in crome, and everyone has them. Do something original and be different. Look for some rims that no one has like Arrelli's or something that looks totally different. I mean think about it, would you be happier with something that everyone has or with something that no one has. If you go to an event or something with a bunch of Camaro's your going to see all kinds of cars with TT 2's and you'll just be another Camaro with TT 2's. Be differen and unique, that's what individuality and personality is all about. I'm starting to see too much conformity on this board and it's really starting to annoy the sh!t out of me. All this crap about people caring whether their car looks rice and crap like that. We all have brains and can think for our selves so lets do that.

As for the piece of sh!t cobra rims. Any ****** that puts those on his car needs to be shot. I don't feel this way because I haite Mustangs, actually I want a older 5.0, but because that is total ignorance. If you want Cobra R rims trade in your Camaro and get a piece of sh!t mustang. Putting cobra rims on is like cross dressing or trying to live like a female.

My advice is not to buy any of those rims and look around, pic up some truck magazines, they have tons of rims in them and basically all of them fit our cars. There's probably a hundred better rims then those, so do yourself a favor and shop around.

Or buy the rims that make YOU happy, I think the reason alot of people have TT 2's is maby, oh I don't know.....people think they look good on our cars. As for the Mustang wheels, I don't think it really compares to crossdressing. And if you put them on your car I don't think it should call for Capital punishment.
I think either one of your choices would look pretty good.

The Torque Thrust 2's look sweet. So do the Cobras. Get what you like. Screw this guy and his attitude.

Easy guys. Everyone is entitled to what they think looks good. No need to go off at the mouth swearing and bad mouthing brands/products.

"copying someone/something is the greatest form of flattery" is what my grandma told me. If they want to blend in with the crowd, let them. If they want to stand out in the crowd, awsome!

Let's tone this down some before it's removed completely.

I love these rims on F-bodies. Problem is, if I ever get to the point when I can drop a couple grand on rims alone, I probably won't be driving my Camaro anymore. I really like the ZR-1/SS 5 spoke rims. They may be a more common look than other designs, but there is a reason for that......they look great! Here is a pic of one pretty close to what yours would look like.

you can go through the trucking magazines and go to shops and look around but it is really hard to find a bolt pattern match for our cars. im considering torque thrust 2's my self they look good on f bodies there is no doubt, and the cobra
s would be sweet but ive tried to find a bolt pattern match and was unsuccessful if you could find a place with the right bolt pattern and has cobra r's let me know.

Thanks for the help guys. If anyone is good at photoshop, could you please photoshop a set of TT2's onto the RS camaro that Backfire posted. That is exactly what my car looks like, now all I need is for someone to photoshop the wheels. Thanks again!
