I agree. People probably think that the owner is still waiting for money to get a paint job.
99 Pewter Metallic Firebird: Flowmaster 80 series. SOLD
I don't know where people get off saying this is ricey, that's pretty crazy. But I have to agree with Preston, Silver w/ black painted ground effects would look awesome. I already have the Trans Am Decklid, but there is no way I'm getting that Commando Wing on it. I don't think I've ever heard anyone call a Montle Carlo SS ricey, and this is the exact same thing that they do - accent the car with different colored ground effects. I'm seriously considering this. Someone said dare to be different - you're talking to the right guy. I think I'm the only person on this site with the 30th Anniversary Side Stripes, and they look freakin' great. Not a lot of Firebirds have the TA Decklid but I went ahead and got it - also practically no one has 4.11:1s in the rear, I put mine in 4 months ago. My car is definately different.

Why is everyone on this sight gunghoe with the rice comments? I think the definition of rice needs to be established, but thats impossible everyone has a different view on rice. Sandman since when has "in your face" or "over the top" been rice? What about an F-body isn't "in your face"? Do you see a car out there with a body style even remotely like ours? or one other than a few other sports cars with a more menacing awsome in your face presence when you see it in your rear view? This guy just took it one more step. Gauranteed If I saw this huge beast in my rear view and I was driving a stang I'd crap my pants. Maybe it's a little to much to you but that in no ways defines it as rice. People on this board (about half that reply to potentialy "rice" cars) need to seperate whats rice and whats something they dislike, they are two very different things. And again my rice rant is done
This looks pretty clean. Instead of the commando wing, they coulda put on the mecham rear wing and made it look better that way. Also, because he did all the gfx white, he should get all the emblems and logos done while also to match the color scheme. i wouldn't mind doing this to my car but w/ turqoise blue/ice blue paint and it done to a white car. Wings west body kit, wings west flush mount spoiler done in the same blue also. also, can you put ta gfx on a firebird or formula?

I agree. He should do all the other accents in white such as the Bird on the front, and the TRANS AM on the doors. Also the PONTIAC in the rear. Not sure if you can put TA ground effects on, I have the sports apperance package so mine came with all the ground effects except the front air dam.

The way I meant it is that he has gone overboard.
There are better things you can do to that car.
My personal opinion :
Bad choice of rims
Bad accent colors
Bad choice of ground effects (for the sides and rear, front is fine) and color
Stupid window banner
UGLY spoiler

Sandman, i know you have the black wing from wings west on your firebird. Do you think your car would look good, if you had your ground effects painted black?
I am about to get my ground effects (w68) painted black, and get the black spoiler from west wings. I have a red 98 firebird, with some chrome 16" cragar wheels.
i think it would look really good if it was painted red but the one thing i dont like is how the side skirts flair way out like that, but other then that it looks alright in my opinion.

I think I'll just have the side skirts painted black on my car, and not the front and rear GFX. I would like to have the front GFX in black, but I don't think it would look good in the rear - so to keep things balanced I think I'll just do the sides.

No, I wouldn't do anything about painting my ground effects anything but the same red as my car.
That is too pronounced for my tastes, the spoiler isn't as flashy, neither are my accents.
