  • Repairing Front Quarter Panels

Wise Veterans of This Here'm Board,

I went to the dealership to get my front quarter panels pulled in, since they were sticking out slightly. I get a call, and they were repairing them, but called to let me know that it would cost me $76.00 total. I should be under warrenty, I thought, but then he stated that the reason they were bowing out was because when I had it serviced, they placed the lifting arms incorrectly, and lifted the car in the correct place. Does this sound right to all of you? It sounds decent to me, but I just wanted to check to see. ((I hope I made sense.))

u mean the gap between front quarter panels and door is bigger than before, and front QP is sticking slightly out? Yea there was a post on this, the lifter was placed on wrong. If u had it serviced at the dealer, they did it, and they should pay for it

either way, yes this can happen from lifter not on right

I back up Jason on this. If you look under the car, just behind the wheel, you will see where the panel bolts on. It is pretty easy to mess it up if you lift the car wrong.
