ok since i got my car about 5 months ago i kep it immaculatly clean 3 times a week i clean it on normal. but the nose of my bird in a dull red as hte rest of it is birght red. y is this? is it just on my car? was it in an accident witht eh previous owner. he said he wasn't in one. or could it be replaced? anyway it also has stress fractures in it which i can cover up. but how do i solve htis get it repainted or get a new one. any prices on both methods thanx

Did you happen to use any rubbing or buffing compound? Have you ever used a buffer?

I have a black camaro and I noticed the nose is a lighter color of black than the sides of teh car. Also, the hood is a little lighter too, but not as noticeable as the nose. My 94 was the same way. Its because the nose is made of plastic and not metal and it fades faster.
