I'm new here and I have a big problem with the GFX I am putting on. I went to a professional paint shop and they used the dark green off a 1994 camaro for the paint formula. I have a 1993 Firebird and after everything was painted, it was slightly off. As cool as a two tone Firebird is, I was wondering if someone can tell me whether the color of the 94 dk. green camaro is the same as the 93 dk. green firebird or if the painter messed up somewhere else in the process?

A possibility could be the paint on the Firebird itself is faded, etc... and since the paint on the GFX is brand new it looks different.Kyle M<br />--------------<br /><a href=\"http://grdws6.netfirms.com\" target=\"_blank\">2002 Trans Am WS6</a> (silver, A4) - lid, cutout, stage 3 shift kit, 12 bolt, vig 3200, tranny cooler, bmr sfc/stb, torq thrust ii. <b>12.688 @ 106.47mph -=- 1.756 60\'</b>

I doubt it is fading because the car is darker than the GFX. Here are those pics you requested. I don't know why the quality is so crappy though. The car has only be driven 2 months per year so i don't think it's fading...Pics of two-tone GFX (blurry)

They used the wrong paint. I know that there are 3 different shades of dark green for the 94 models. They screwed up, tell them to fix it for free or call BBB. I have zero tolerance for bad work.
BTW, even with the correct number of the paint, it still won't match. It's just GM quality for you. That's why you pay so much for a good paint job. If they can't paint match correctly, then they shouldn't be painting.
I had a friend who painted cars, so I know this stuff.

The problem with paint matching with GM is that their quality control between manufacturing plants is terrible. Have you ever seen the GM paint books that dealers have? There are like three or four paint chips (and formulas) for ONE COLOR NUMBER! It's crazy. Not to say that GM is the only one that does it, but they are by far the worst.
