Ok, so today I'm mowing the yard with our ATV and pull behind mower. It's a huge yard so even with this setup, it takes over 2 hours to mow. Anyways, I'm pulling this mower, and it has a slide attachment so you can hook a 2nd deck to it and mow 120" at once insted of 60". Anyways, the pin came out of the slide attachment and this
turned into this
right as I drove by my car. Now, I gave myself plenty of room to clear my car with the mower, but didn't know that the pin had fallen out. I glanced back to make sure my car was clear right as I passed it. I saw the bar sticking out there and grabbed the brakes (I was going under 5mph anyways) but I still had enough speed to catch 6 inches of my bumper.
This is where the car cover part comes in (I know yall were starting to wonder). I have a WOLF car cover made with Kimerly Clark fabrics (or something like that), it's made of 4 layers, you can get them at ClassicIndustries.com for about 160 bucks, but believe me, they are worth it. Every time you take the cover off, the car looks like it's just been waxed. Anyways, the car cover took most of the impact from the mower. Although the cover is now torn
and my 160 dollar cover isn't what it used to be
my car didn't get hurt very bad. Remember it got hit with a piece of boxed steel beeing pulled by an ATV. Here's all the damage
You see the chip on the edge near the tire
this was caused when I backed up to prevent further scratches. All in all, I think the car cover did a great job. Kept it mostly dry in the rain and snow, it kept the pollen off, prevented damage from little impacts, kept the cats off of my car. Heck, they even give you a free lock kit to keep your cover from being stolen. I would sugguest this cover to anybody whos looking to buy one.
