Hey eveybody, first post here. I've got a silver '98 camaro, with t-tops and the factory ground effects package. I'm debating on whether to go with SLP's Ultra Z hood, or the Camaro SS hood. my future plan for the car includes a supercharger, so the Ultra Z hood might be good for getting cold air to the intake, but the SS would probably "fit in" with the appearance as a whole. I'm not quite sure what to do. any suggestions?

true...i don't think i've ever seen a camaro with one before. but the SS hood would complete the look, so to speak...i'm kinda wrestling with two issues, performance and appearance. i'm not sure which one would act as a better ram-air hood.\'98 Camaro - SOLD<br />Best E/T: 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH<br />60\': 2.131<br /><a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/skorpion317\" target=\"_blank\">members.cardomain.com/skorpion317 </a><br />1998 Saturn SL2<br />Official <a href=\"http://www.njdisturbance.com\" target=\"_blank\">NJ Disturbance</a> bracket racer

I've only seen one car with a ultra-z hood -- a pewter z28 parked outside a friend's dorm. I must have checked that car out for a solid 5 minutes. It looks very good and I'm not a fan of the SS hood, so my vote goes for the ultra-a. The only problem with the ultra-z is that oh-so-nice pricetag :(<b>2002 Pewter v6 Camaro</b><br />T-tops, Auto, stock GFX<br />mods: SSRA, Whisper lid, K&N filter, Borla cat-back, Pioneer HU, RF 6.5\" speakers, billet grill, clear corners, red tubing under hood, black CAMARO fill-in\'s, QTEC, GM power antenna, fan switch

I thought about what hood to get when I was shopping around. The ultra Z hood doesn't look right, so I went with the SS since it blends and matches way better.
Open both of these and look at them side by side and decide, its really up to you...if you can't see the ss, right click it and copy and paste again, or scroll up to my first post on the 1st link.
UltraZ
SS
If I was to go with a hood grille that was up front I would go for the hood that looks like the WS6 style from usbody or something, I can't quite remember as I slept about 5 hrs everyday for the past few weeks.
hope this helps ur decision. Have fun deciding,,,
