  • Duplicolor question

Hey all, I kinda have a crazy idea. I have a cayanne red 97 firebird and some idiot backed into my car in a parking lot and ran off. So I have a front bumper, or bumper cover, that lookes really bad. I thought I could use duplicolor cans and paint it. I would do this because I cant afford the 400 to 600 bucks I have been quoted. I would still sand, prime, and clear coat though. Has or can this be done or is there an alternate way I can do this without cans?

Use a spray gun w/ a compressor and paint tubes. Otherwise you're stuck with the cans.

Buy the truck/van paint cans, they're larger than the car ones and doing a front bumper cover will mean LOTS of thin coats, which means you do not want to run out of paint and have to run to the parts store.
