    i know i never got around to getting these up when i first did the blackouts, but better later then never.




    whaddya all think?

    they look good, those are a custom job? how much did it cost ya?

      yeah, they're custom. all it cost me was $10 for a can of VHT Niteshades blackout paint. i put on 8-9 coats of the stuff, and like 2-3 coats of clearcoat. there's no problems with them lighting up during the day or night.

        damn, that looks really good. i love the reverse lights being left alone. adds a nice accent.

            not at all. in the daytime, they're not totally black, enough red/yellow comes through so they don't hassle me. at nite, the lights lite up with no problems, so the cops don't even bother me.

            Where in NJ do you live? north, south, central?

                      so you basically just painted the covers with that stuff? ive been wanting to blackout my break lights on my firebirdfor a while, i might try this. its a white convertable with a black top so i think it would look pretty killer. can you get some pics of your car with the brakes on in the day and night so we can see how well they show up through all that? it looks sweet, im really interested.

                              a local auto parts store, most places should carry it, or be able to order it for you. It's VHT Niteshades paint.
