Do you guys think this would look good? a totally custom fiberglass front end that resembles the 1st gen camaro very closely. I know it can be done at a body shop for a hefty price, but do you guys think it would pretty neat?
i like the yellow one...all you'd need there is an LS1 and an optional LS6. LS6, you say? well, since the new c6 Vette is coming out (base model-400 hp), and the new z06 will have up to 500 hp, why not give the new camaro the current, 405 HP LS6? it'll kill the new Mustang, and look damn good while doing it too.
I like it. GM is so cheesy lately, they wouldn't even think of producing it. They are geared more towards soccer-moms and high rollers for the vette. JMO
Well the engine choice was never an issue when it came to the f-bodies, it was the old chassis design that was going to need to be redone to pass government regulations. GM didn't have a new version ready by 2002 and sales sucked so they cut both F cars for a while. I do like those pics of the Camaro though, its not totally retro but has some nice radical styling hints that scream heritage. IMO as the years went on the F cars got more and more bland and tame looking (excluding the WS6 Trans Am which still stands out big time). I don't think GM will reuse the Z06 engine for any new cars because the LS2 is basically only a better block with LS6 heads anyways.

uhm. not only that, they owe Canada 10,000,000 bucks and must supply work for every worker from the plants in Canada before they can even produce a Camaro or Firebird again.
And on top of that, no - GM isn't "only for soccer moms and high rollers" -- apparantly you have not heard of the project "Son of Corvette" or the Solstice... Roadsters, RWD, with ecotec engines, and optional turbo and supercharged models that will produce around 230-240 horsepower and cost about 20,000...
Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D
Actually, all of those plans were drawn up from a 16 year old kid in California, GM is considering but more than likely not gonna act upon it anytime soon. There are some issues on how to fit wheels and all the components. There was a an article in a GM magazine around summer last year.

Were you guys even paying attention??? She want's to know your thoughts of whether or not a 4th gen Camaro would look good with a front clip looking similar to that. I think it could be done to look good, but there might be a lot of problems getting everything to work right (mainly lighting and airflow) with the car. Still though, it could look good. I might try to photoshop em together for ya.
Some older guy drives around an early first gen Camaro in a hideous brown color, but it's the best looking paint job I've ever seen on a car that old, and the front end makes me want to scream: it's beautiful.
If you could do that, you'd be getting looks. From a lot of people.

Would it look good? I'm not sure. Do those cars in those pictures look good? Yea. But they don't even resemble our camaros. I think it would look very very weird. But if you got the money and want it done go for it. I'd try to get on overhaulin and get chip foose to start designing, lol.
i dont think it will look good. and everyone that has been here awhile should know that showing any pics or talking about remaking camaros is an upcoming huge conversation. personally, i think they will come back on there aniversary. 2007. and have the LS2 and maybe a 3.8 or something else.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
