I like the way it looks, I had planned on getting one myself.

However, it was brought to my attention by the fine gentlemen on this board that the quality of Mecham hoods SUCKS! They are brittle and crack easily. I would suggest against it. At that price, your hood should only be the highest quality. With Mecham, it isn't.

I have also heard these are not high quality hoods (cracking and all). I personally think it looks awesome (I'd like to see one in person), but that pricetag and the reputation is making me not want one.

if your gonna get a mecham hood, buy it used, that way the previous owner would have delt with all the imperfections.

btw, i posted this a long time ago.......

i didn't think it looked too bad...kinda like the SLP Ultra Z hood, except for the heat extractors. i'm kinda undecided as to what hood to get...that's gonna be my only major body mod (i love the way the Sport Appearance package looks). Right now it's up between SS and Ultra Z hoods...

The hood looks sweet, but from everyone I have talked to, they are horribly made for the money.

They look awesome, but are very brittle and are of poor quality. I have seen them in real life, and know a couple of Mecham T/A owners. They hate the hoods as they have had to get them fix multiple times. One of them has ordered a raptor hood from Suncoast.
