I like the way it looks, I had planned on getting one myself.
However, it was brought to my attention by the fine gentlemen on this board that the quality of Mecham hoods SUCKS! They are brittle and crack easily. I would suggest against it. At that price, your hood should only be the highest quality. I have also heard these are not high quality hoods (cracking and all). if your gonna get a mecham hood, buy it used, that way the previous owner would have delt with all the imperfections.

i didn't think it looked too bad...kinda like the SLP Ultra Z hood, except for the heat extractors. i'm kinda undecided as to what hood to get...that's gonna be my only major body mod (i love the way the Sport Appearance package looks). They look awesome, but are very brittle and are of poor quality. I have seen them in real life, and know a couple of Mecham T/A owners. They hate the hoods as they have had to get them fix multiple times. One of them has ordered a raptor hood from Suncoast.2000 Firebird. Whisper Lid, True duals, TSP mail order tune, Built Tranny , TCI 2800 stall verter, B&M tranny cooler, Eaton LSD, 3.42 gears. Current best ET. 15.232 89.09 MPH 2.175 60ft on stock 3.42\'s and open diff.<a href=\"http://www.geocities.cComment
