What size do I get, 245/40/17?. Also, what bolt pattern and am i going to need any spacers or make any alterations to my car?

I ordered them today and they guy said to get 255/45/17's. He said its the biggest peice of meat that i can fit in there. I have 245/40/17s on my 17x9.5 rims non-lowered and It only threw my speedo off by like 1mph at 60
