Are there any good ways to go about cleaning wax off plastic? I tried some various things around my garage. Plastic cleaner, alcohol, MS, spray nine, a few other substances. Nothing seems to take it off. I have some extra wax around my windshield wipers, and on my grille. Is there anything that works good for getting it off. I was reluctant to try MEK even though im sure it'll take it off, it's not safe around paint.

No, you don't need to repaint it.

lol listen, want to know how to get it off?
put some wd-40 on a tooth brush and just rub the area. if that doesnt do it, wet a spot on a rag with wd-40 and rub it on the spot with the wax. this will 100% gaureteed take it off. I get wax all over when i wax, i use wd-40 all the time to take it off of plastic.Comment

Baby oil. It works! Body shop trick.
Rub it all over (not just where the wax is) and you're black plastic or rubber will shine like never before.
