  • Pics of my new hood and side vent grilles.

This is the perfect thing to do if your broke like me and are tired of the paint always chipping off after you paint the grilles. Tell me what you think of them.

So exactly what did you do to them to be that way?

I used gutter gaurd that I bought from Lowes for less than $2. For the hood I just cut them to fit using my Dremel and then used the stock screws to hold them on.

The side ones were alot harder. I first cut out a square piece of the gutter mesh and opened up the door to give me acess to the backside of the vents. Then I placed the mesh so that it looked good and folded the mesh over the ledge that is back there (if you look at your car you will see what I mean) and then I just used 3M emblem tape to hold them in place.

Dumb question, but where did you buy the 3M emblem tape?

...And BTW, the grilles and car look great!
