• New rims installed, finally

Hey I haven't posted lately but just want to let you guys know that my rims were put on yesterday. They are 18" Chrome Z06 rims. They look awesome, too bad that tires cost like 800 dollars. they are sumitomo for racing or something, installed at Sears Auto Center.
I'll post pictures later.
oh BTW my brother installed the intake, it is SLP and it makes a difference, I can hear the engine louder and the car feels faster. Pics of that will also be posted soon.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.j sp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+Supra+712&vehicl eSearch=false&partnum=735WR8ES712&fromCompare1=yes

always check tire rack probbaly not that much of a savings but $159 X 4 = $636 = $50 shipping = 686

$800-$686 = $114

Tires I just bought I got a big savings on from tirerack.com vs. the store...

Store prices(I shopped around for Kuhmo 712s 275/40/17)
$147 x 4 = $588
$142 x 4 = $568

www.tirerack.com
$107 x 4 = $428+$51.06 shipping $479.06

I saved about $100.

You aren't counitng installation costs which are 20 bucks a tire. So that means I only save 20 to 40 bucks, which is timed wasted. I pay if it saves me time, if I went to tirerack.com I would still have to wait another week for shipping and have to wait for another free day for me to get them tires on the rims. What I should have done is get a deal on the rims that came with tires, but I was stupid for not waiting.
The tires were 245/18R 45. The feel great. My car is white.

Cool... I didn't knwo that was installed, then that is good...

The tires prices I quoted from the shops did not include the $20 a tire for installation. So the difference was the list price on the tires...

WoW! $20 a tire for to install?
I got all 4 of my tires mounted and balanced for $50!
You guys are getting ripped off lol.

But tirerack is A LOT cheaper... for the Kuhmo 711s I think the tire store was ~$475 for all 4 mounted and balanced and they were only $56 each on tirerack! It was 2x as expensive if I bought them from the store rather than tirerack.com

I bought my Pirelli tires from there at $104 or $106, same local price as the kuhmos but a much better tire!
