Front license plate swap with color piece?

I was intriged that most Firebirds have that piece on the front bumber instead of the license plate. I really hate looking at my plate. i want the piece that fits in there to get rid of that damn plate. anyone know how to come about one? Or am i stuck with is because i live in chicago. Illinois sucks.

or you can go to ebay and try to find one that matches your car, I got one off ebay it cost me about 30 bucks shipped, and it already was the color of my car.

its illegal to not have a front plate in illinois, just like it is here in missouri. if you dont feel like paying the 50 dollar ticket, you would probably want to keep it on there. i had mine off for a while, but after listening to everyone talk about their tickets, i decided to put mine back on. now i only take it off for shows.

Loochy, it may be illegal, but i gaurantee he wont get pulled over. I mean, most mercedes, lexus', and bmw come without a place for the front licence plate

Well, its up to you. around here in the midwest people get pulled over for it all the time. many peole on this board know this first hand. Now, I know my rear blackouts are actually illegal, but cops are not very likely to bother me about them, much less likely than they are to bother me about the plate.

The point with all of this is that it is illegal and if youre doing something that they dont like, its just one more reason to pull you over and give you a ticket.

You have to decide if its worth it to you.

I have never been pulled over yet and the cop even came and talked to me here in iowa and i know it illegal here! they drive past me all the time and dont even car so i say go for it!

yeah here in cali is also illegal, but I had it for more then three years and I never being pulled over, also like someone said bmws, mercedes, corvettes and a whole bunch of other cars dont have front license plates, where I live I never seen a trans am, firebird, or corvette with a front license plate. but its like tinted windows, neons, blackouts, etc. you have to ask yourself if its worth having them, for me it is.
