Could you be a bit more specific about what racing stripes you are talking about. Who the heck sells them... maybe a picture or a link???

probably on ebay..

I would not doubt it.. a set of basic stripes in a solid color is only a few dollers in 3M's material... and well.. 99.9999999% of all stripes are made from 3M's vinal.. so.. they are all pretty much the same..

well if they aren't made from real 3M product then don't buy them.you get what you pay for :D

ehhh..
I dont reccomend them...

http://www.oracal.com/products/produ...&cat_ID=2&pg=2

read that..

while it can be used in outdoor apps.. i dont think they will last all that long with all the extra heat that cars will put on them.. expecialy on the hood in the sun and with the engine running.. they will crack.. probably only after a few years..

and when they start getting brittle.. you have a real nasty mess on your hands..

That is the same kit I installed on my camaro (Look at my site below). I like the way it turned out. I got many of compliments with them too. The only thing different was the kit didn't come with the pinstripe accents on the outside of the racing stripes. I went to pepboys and outlined the stripes myself, and they turned out really nice.
