ya shane it was only 300. no alignment probs, hatch still pops open when i hit the buttun.

only thing is that the shocks that hold the hatch up are too weak. it hold it up, but after 3-4 mins it slowly closes.

i need to go and buy a pair of trans am shocks and ill be set.
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

Well the bodies of the trans am and firebird are exactly the same with the exception of the front bumper and wing.

The TA wing looks horrible without the TA rear bumper IMO. At least plan on doing both.

doesn't look too bad on a formula/bird imho.

I am a fan of the TA bumper myself ;) teh cutouts make for a nice area to mount nice exhaust tips.

I live and work in Plainfield. I used to have a 94 Trans Am and I loved it. When I got rid of it I wanted to get a 99 ws6. I ended up getting the Lightning and I don't regreat it one bit. I've had a lot of fun with it. I've been looking around the last few months for a good deal on a 98-2000 Firebird as a 2nd car. Thats when the topic of the rear spoiler came up. I always liked how the trans am's looked over any car because of the rear spoiler. So I asked if you can get that look, with the firebird.
thanks for all the replies, Shane

I'm about to upload some new pics on my site listed in my sig. I've got some pics you've been looking for. I've got the WW full kit on my bird, so the back bumper looks similar to a T/A, but in my opinion it didnt look bad before I got the kit on. It did look a little odd though. When I post this, give me about 10 minutes and I'll have them on (if all goes well). Oh, and I've had problems with the shocks. My hatch won't stay up at all and the button won't pop the hatch up. I have to have the key to open it and physically hold it up. I'll get around to fixing it sometime. I had my back glass swapped over from the firebird hatch and I think it cost me about $25 opposed to about 2 grand for a new one. The T/A hatch is two pieces. The spoiler bolts onto the T/A hatch.

                          Pics are updated

Looks really good. What did the hood, and spoiler end up costing you?

                              Sweet.

I always wanted to get both the TA hatch, and the Raptor Hood. And my first priority was getting a Raptor hood, but after seeing some of these pics I will go get a TA hatch first.

Hopefully junkyards around here have a TA hatch to sell.

Thanks. Just in parts, the hood, hatch, and spoiler cost me about $2500 (all brand new from GM). Junkyards just weren't working out for me. There weren't a whole lot of T/A parts available to look through period and I got tired of looking.

I'm wanting to say the hatch and spoiler were about $1000 and the hood was $1700. Then take into account the extras, like the hood latch (I think the latch that pops the hood is a little different on the ram-air), grills for the nostrils on the hood, T/A shocks for the hatch, etc. It was a good amount of money, but I'm more than happy with it.
