• Has anyone put a trans am spoiler on a firebird?

Has anyone with a firebird, (98 and up) put the spoiler off a on a firebird? Is it just the spoiler you swap out, or is it the whole back hatch? Glass included, and spoiler? I dont have a firebird, I am just wondering if it's ever been done. I really love the spoiler on the trans am's. I think a firebird would look really good with the trans am spoiler. Anybody out there do the swap?
    thanks, Shane

No, it's the entire hatch. U'll have to swap the entire thing.

thanks for the reply. has anyone done it? How much would it cost if you found a back hatch with spolier off a trans am already panted... I dont have a firebird, im just wondering what it would cost. I think it would look so much better with the spoler.

      Thanks, Shane

it would cost however much you could find the hatch for. I suppose if you found one locally on ebay or something in the right color you could get it done for about 300 dollars. im sure shipping on those things is not cheap.

            shane i did this.

i went to a junkyard, found a T/A hatch that was my color. went out to the parking lot w/ my dad unbolted the old one and unhooked the defrosters, put new hatch on, bolt it, connect defrosters, and your done.

it was about 300 dollars and about a half hour of my time.
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

so you are saying the fit was perfect?? That is really cheap man cause I though it would be more like 800 bucks or something.
Anyone done it on a camaro, like switch the back to an SS back??

teh SS is just a spoiler, and will bolt onto any 93-02 camaro decklid.

the trans am hatches, sell for around $300-500 depenidng on seller.

there is a white ws6 formula in orlando with a TA hatch, looks sweet.

i have always wondered about the firebird and wondered how nice it'd be with the trans am spoiler. any pics I'd appteciate it. $300-$500 does not sound bad at all.
                    thanks, Shane

That looks awesome! It only cost ya $300? Does it line up ok, and the trunk release still works like normal... It looks really good man. What are your other plans for the car? Got any interior or other pics of the car? Thanks again, Shane

Um... why do u need pics of a TA hatch on a firebird? Its going to look exactly the same as a TA anyways. Not trying to be a dick or anything.. just wondering.

Oh, and I'm not positive but I think you might need the hatch struts from a ta. I think that the ones on the firebird might not be able to hold up the extra weight of the wing. Again, I'm not positive but I think I read that somewhere.
