Crippled hood bird

My 97 has the little bird ornament on the hood... the problem is that some asshat chipped the driver's side wingtip, and it's been broken ever since. It took the plastic off, but the rubber was there. I took the rubber off and you notice it less, but if you look at it you'll definitely notice the lack of a complete bird.

Does anyone know a place where I could order a new bird, or would replacing the bird with something else (say, a vinyl bird in a different color or a bird with a stripe job.... or something) be a wise choice?

You can email them to get the part number you need. Be sure to tell them the year, model and VIN of your car.

For some reason, GMPartsDirect doesn't have anything for my bird. :( At least, they have a catalog for mechanical parts, but nothing for body. I'll e-mail them and ask for the part number. I might ask the dealer for the P/N too. Thanks!

Don't pay attention to their "online" catalog - it is worthless. Email them - they can get anything.
