  • How much did it cost you to paint your hood

Please tell me how much and what kind of brand. Is it also better to have the hood on already on the car before painted or not?

    Thanks

      what the heck is TTT

Anyway I have the SLP Ram Air H.O. hood and I got it painted for 530. I had the hood shipped to the body shop and they took care of the rest

i've always wondered what ttt meant too

i would think the hood would be easier to paint when it's off the car but i can't imagine it would cost any extra if it were on.... that's my thoughts on the subject

i had hail damage to fix on the rear quarter panels also AND i took it to one of the best of the best, it cost me $800 to remove all the dents for all the body work on the hood, and paint, but insurance paid all of it but 300 so i got it cheap!

I got my SLP Ram Air hood installed and painted last week and it cost me $250. The body shop that did it is known for good work, great prices, and they indeed provided both. The body shop said it was easier since it was off the car so they could paint the underside of it.

                  DAYYYYUUUMMM!!!.

My red squirts only cost me 252! 250 for paint is pretty good for the hood. 530 wow!

So, I won't even mention the estimate I got for $812. LOL ... Besides the hood, they wanted to 'blend' the front bumper, gfx, both headlight covers, and both front quarter panels. Needless to say, they weren't getting my money ... but I also didn't get a hood.

different colors are going to be more money...

Black and white are probably the cheapest because the hue's don't change much. Red and others will be more because of the other colors in the paint that will have to match.

With my hood, they painted just the hood, no blending, etc... If it was another color they would have to.

Paints with metallics have a direction to them that will show up if not painted on the car in the same motion as all of the other panels. These would have to be blended...

That would explain the price differences...
