I'm considering installing some gauges in my 97 Bird in the three central air conditioning vents and leaving the farthest vents open for normal A/C. With the three center vents closed the air will blow harder out the ends instead and I can install oil temp, tranny temp, and air/fuel gauges from summit. I measured the opening size and it seems to be nearly 2 5/8" on the dot so this might turn out well. I will post some layout pictures when I get some time soon.
