• Car's on it's way to getting the flames....

They were suppose to start the flames today but they spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get the front WW piece back into shape. It had come slightly out of round from the factory :( . They had it in the paint booth heating it with a torch and shaping it. It was 130 degrees in there!!!I got a pic of the one guy finishing it this morning

This is how the car looked

Its all sanded and ready to go for the flames but they first have to put the primed front piece on then they'll be painting the Pewter over it and the other areas of the car. He's going to have the flames laid out tomorrow morning when I stop in.

sorry for the poor quality pics.....new camera and I hadnt check the settings

Thanks :D . Yeah it is odd to see it all sanded down like that but I thought it was also kinda neat. I'll get some better pics today of it...I have checked the camera settings this time prior!

He had the t-tops out and it all taped up/plastic over there and the engine compartment too. He's pretty well known in this area. Im really glad I found out about him because the first guy I talked to seemed so full of hisself. He didnt even want me to come over and see his shop and discouraged me from all the suggestions I had about the flames!! He wasnt very nice :(

He's also going to try and fix the darn hatch that leaks and doesnt line up. Seems like after that accident with the Budget truck in March that it knocked it out of alignment and now I get tons of water laying in the hatch floor where the t-tops go.

Yeah I did have the stripes/bird but took them off for the flames. Im getting traditional looking flames that will be on the hood, front fenders and down the doors :D

Here's the car as it looked yesterday and running behind in schedule because they had more trouble with the darn WW front piece!!!

Latest pics! Here's the car as it looked after work. This is only the base coat for the flames. Tangerine will go over the orange, Magenta over the blue and purple-blue over the white. The flames will be outlined in orange and a drop shadow around all the flames too!

He's off of Euclid Ave. His shop is only about 1-1/2 miles from Euclid and Liberia past Osbourne Park High School.
